Xmas Live x The Feens

by Olivia Mannix

This week, we are buzzing to welcome The Feens to the stage! Hailing from Scarborough, the band are yet to make a wrong move, as they continue to take the indie music scene by storm.

The Feens formed back in 2016, and since have been heard on BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 6, Radio X, Made in Chelsea, Sky Sports and more! The band features dual-lead vocalists Freddie Schmuck and Adam Lodge, along with Sam Dowling on guitar and Perrie Bunton on drums.

The band had been busy with their live shows prior to lockdown, supporting bands such as Sheafs, Glass Caves and Inhaler. We can’t get enough of their quality lyrics paired with their powerfully hypnotic riffs, and we welcome their impeccable indie rock style that nods to the likes of Courteeners, Oasis, Jaws and Blossoms. This band are the ultimate indie blend we have been looking for.

Despite a weird set of circumstances 2020 has presented us with, The Feens have most definitely not had a boring year. We saw them make their debut with their old pal Fenners on our Saturday morning favourite, Soccer AM. Their music is making waves across the UK, with their single ‘How It Falls’ being released earlier this year and their latest track ‘Sunset’ bouncing on our radar at the start of September. Put it this way – their new tunes have made lockdown a little bit more bearable.

The Feens joined us for Xmas Live and took to the stage in some of the latest clobber from Lyle & Scott. A fitting brand that sprung on to the scene due to its popularity with noughties indie bands like Arctic Monkeys and Bloc Party. Today, we wear the Golden Eagle logo with pride and the band donned some of their favourite pieces for the Christmas season.

Going into 2021, we are looking forward to seeing the lads on the move. After their 2020 debut tour was cut short, the band are looking to make the tour bigger and better! We can’t wait for some fresh belters to sing along to, some festival slots and much more.
