Under The Spotlight | Jamie Webster

by Johanna Roelich

Talented singer-songwriter from Liverpool has taken the world by storm over the years. Starting out as an electrician, Jamie Webster followed the dream to hear his music being echoed around some of the most impressive music venues and stadiums.

Adopted as Liverpool FC’s semi-official musician, the Merseysider’s Tory-baiting lyrics have made him the voice of the city – and an unlikely new folk star. Last year, Jamie became the first artist to top the newly created Official Folk Album Chart with his debut LP, We Get By. ‘We Get By’ reached number 6 in the mainstream album chart in August, and the Liverpool Echo named Jamie the 11th most-influential Merseysider in its 2020 Power List.

To celebrate his talent alongside the drop of Berghaus‘ new Dean Street collection, we caught up with Jamie and his good friend Timo Tierney from The Tea Street Band to find out how he’s managed the pandemic year and what he has planned for 2021. He also treated us to a cheeky exclusive performance while he was at it!

Shop the latest from Berghaus and look the part this spring summer.
