The city of spires will be filled with festivities this season, as the Christmas Markets opens up on Broad Street. The beautiful and historic setting in the heart of the city, is set to be full of marketing traders, selling everything from mulled wine to gifts and more. If you’re wanting a top day out, more calming and historic, visit Oxford between December 5t and December 21st.

One of the most popular destinations during the Christmas period is Edinburgh. This year, the markets have made their return in the heart of Edinburgh for everyone to enjoy. For another year, Millennium Square in Leeds City Centre will transform into a winter village, packed full with traditional wooden stalls, for the infamous German Christmas Markets. For those who live for  Christmas market food, this is the place for you, with gluhwein, bratwurst sausages, schnitzels, goulash, stollen, gingerbread, roasted nuts and candied fruits. Oh, and let’s not forget the constant flowing of beer thrown into the classic steins and mulled wine and ciders. This is the one for us. Head over to Leeds to catch the action between now and December 21st.
