Will this be a dream start to their campaign for Brentford or will Arsenal be looking to put an end to their banter era.

The rest of the teams will start their season on the weekend. The notable games of the weekend are Man Utd vs Leeds, Watford vs Villa, Norwich vs Liverpool on the Saturday and then on Sunday Spurs vs Man City.

Newly promoted Watford have done some good business over the summer signing two experienced player on a free, ex England and Tottenham defender Danny Rose who could be vital in keeping Watford up this season and ex cherry Josh King who we feel in]s underrated and capable of scoring 10+ goals this season as he did for the cherries back in 2018-19 season netting 12 times.

Norwich finished top of the championship last season and look to continue their success by securing Billy Gilmour on loan from Chelsea. Billy Gilmour might be familiar to many of us as he was a star player for Scotland in the 0-0 draw against England in the Euros.

After winning the 2019/20 league emphatically, they weren’t able to reproduce the same success and fell drastically short last season which many believe was down to their injury woes especially at the back. Their two starting centre backs Virgil Van Dijk and Joel Gomez missed the whole season which made Klopp’s job even harder as they had to find cover within the squad which didn’t exactly pan out. However this season Liverpool look to strengthen their defense as they have brought in Ibrahima Konate from RB Leipzig. The young U21 French player is 6ft 4 and lighting quick but while playing for RB Leipzig last season he was given the nickname ‘Ibuprofen’ because of his injury record which given Liverpool’s injury record it might be the wisest decision.

Man Utd are keen to splash the cash this season spending £72.9million on England’s own Jadon Sancho who will be a great addition to the club and we finally get to see him strut his stuff in the Premier League. Man Utd are also in talks with world cup winner Raphaël Varane who could be a key man if they manage to secure his signature and take him away from Real Madrid. As they look to challenge their neighbours for the title they are also in talks to sign England’s Kieran Trippier from Atletico Madrid who can put real pressure on Aaron Wan-Bissaka who hasn’t had much competition for his place which has been reflected in his form.  If they are able to complete these signings then they can real contenders this season.
