Fantasy Football: Double Gameweek One’s To Watch

by Olivia Mannix

Here we go again! Double Gamweeks are just around the corner and we know all of you FPL managers are currently assessing your team. The question is; who are the best players to snap up ahead of Double Gameweeks 24 and 25? Well here are some of our recommendations.

Nick Pope – BURNLEY – Goalkeeper, £5.5m

Maybe upgrading your goalkeeper could be a good option? Overall, Pope has been performing well for Burnley this season. Due to his sharp skills against the tougher teams in the Prem, his popularity has continued to grow. This young and naturally talented lad will most definitely put up a fight this week, but will he be number 1?

Raheem Sterling – MANCHESTER CITY – Midfielder, £11.6m

It is no secret that Sterling has been having a pretty average season. But with the help of his teammates, the player has restored Man City’s three-point lead. With Guardiola’s tendency to start Sterling in City’s tougher games, we reckon he’ll be getting involved from the outset this week. With 4 goals in his last 5 Premier League starts, Sterling is hard to ignore!

Dominic Calvert-Lewin – EVERTON – Forward, £7.7m

The Everton forward has been one of the most consistent players of the season. Dom has worked hard to prove that he can maintain his productivity against the top six clubs this season, so he should be in most teams now. If you haven’t already bagged him, then now would be a great time to take the plunge. A Double Gameweek against Fulham and Man City looks pretty promising for the Everton striker if you ask us!

Antonee Robinson – FULHAM – Defender, £4.4m

Despite settling in well to life with his new team, Antonee Robinson is Fulham’s lowest-scoring starting defender. However, we reckon that could all change. The passion is there and so is the confidence – all Robinson needs is a bit of luck on his side. We reckon he could give Fulham the boost they have been looking for.

James Ward-Prowse – SOUTHAMPTON – Midfielder, £6m

Southampton aren’t having a great time at the moment and this is largely due to injuries. If you wanted to secure someone for Gameweek 25, we would recommend James Ward Prowse. This midfielder has a chance of emulating David Beckham! He has four free-kick goals already and is on corners and set pieces, so also has the chance of an assist.
