There have been some solid additions to our brand line up recently and they just keep on coming. Our recent arrival is outdoor brand Sprayway. Proudly born in the hills in 1974 and honed by the weather of the Peak District, Sprayway have been trusted by walkers and outdoor enthusiasts of all ages for over 40 years.

They have a strong eye for good looking technical gear and spend an awful lot of time honing materials and designs for stylish but functional gear that will keep you dry, which is pretty useful in the U.K. With more people choosing to spend time outdoors, Sprayway’s time and effort is dedicated to ensuring that people enjoy the views instead of focussing on the cold, wind and rain. Something we all can appreciate.

They use weather resistant materials to create some of the best technical gear around, such as GORE-TEX, TECSHELL and INSOFILL which make sure the type of gear you buy is exactly what you want and need it to be.

Materials Explained

Looking for something big to keep you covered this winter? (literally) Well, you need a bit of the GORE-TEX collection. This bad boy is designed to keep you dry no matter how extreme the weather is. GORE-TEX is arguably the most well-known waterproofing technology make for an iconic combination.

GORE-TEX is waterproof, windproof and breathable. To show you they mean business, they offer a 10 year ‘guarantee to keep you dry’ on all products.

TecSHELL fabrics are light, packable and highly wind resistant. Their densely woven construction means they are durable and extremely down-proof. TecSHELL fabrics also have a DWR coating for added water resistance making them ideal in changeable conditions.

DWR Coating (Durable Water Repellency) is the stuff that makes water bead off your jacket. If you start to notice water soaking into your jacket or ‘wetting out’ this means the DWR coating needs reproofing.

InsoFILL insulation has an especially high loft and level of heat retention. The heat retention is retained even when the fibres become damp from snow or rain. Fibres of different length, type and fineness are processed like down and blown into baffles where it can expand to its full loft.

Basically, you can’t fall short with any of the Sprayway gear which is why we’re chuffed to have them on board at scotts. We’re just adding in yet another string to the scotts brand family, and there’s more to come. Don’t let the rain slow you down.

Check out the collection.
